The Story Behind Flooring America

Our journey began in 1985 with a carpet and upholstery cleaning business, started by myself and my brother to support our education. By 1991, we expanded into water and fire damage restoration, earning our California contractor license to perform rebuilds following mitigation.

In 1993, we opened our first carpet and flooring store at Laguna Hills Design Center under the Mobil Carpet name. By 1997, we relocated to a 6,000-square-foot showroom in Signal Hill to better serve our growing customer base. Joining the Flooring America co-op in 2003 allowed us to elevate our showroom experience and access high-quality marketing tools.

Our second Flooring America location opened in Lake Forest in 2005, and during the pandemic, we combined both stores into our current, state-of-the-art showroom in Irvine. Today, our offices for the restoration business are conveniently located on the second floor of the same building, offering seamless service for all our customers’ flooring and remodeling needs.
